NETWORK OF WOMEN WITH DISABILITY GETS $22,500 GRANT

You could see the happiness radiating on the face of Lois Auta, the President of NDW as she signed the contract with Disability Rights Fund that gives NDW $22,500 which is equivalent to over 10million Naira. This was done alongside Barrister Mary Omoyeme Musa, the National Secretary of NDW and Imoete Edet, the Chief Operating Officer of NDW.The grant was given to NDW to reform legislation in Nigeria and enhance inclusive political participation particularly for Women and Girls with Disabilities. The grant period would start from September 1st 2021 – August 31st 2022.

It was awarded through Disability Rights Advocacy For Small Grants Funding Stream which provides grants to single organizations or partnerships.We would like to appreciate the Disability Rights Fund for this opportunity given to us. We also want to thank everyone who made this possible.A special appreciation goes to Theophilus Daudu who did everything he could to ensure that NDW gets the grants. We are immensely grateful.NDW members, this is the time to take advantage of this opportunity and prepare ourselves for rigorous policy advocacy so that we can get into political positions during the 2023 general elections.Let’s keep doing well for ourselves and making NDW proud
